ABDUL WAHAB WOHABE
(Founder, retired) is a graduate of Williams
College
and Cornell
Law School
(with specialization in international legal affairs).
He
is admitted to practice in Saudi Arabia
and in New
York, as well as before
the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York,
the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the U.S. Court of
International Trade. Before
establishing his own practice, he was associated with the law
firm of White & Case and served as an officer of Morgan
Guaranty Trust Co. He is a founder of the
Arab American Bank in New
York
and served as a member of its board of directors from 1976-80. He
is also a founder of the U.S.-Arab Chamber of Commerce in New York.
DAVID WOHABE
practices in a wide range of finance, commercial and investment
matters, with particular emphasis on finance and investment
transactions including Islamic finance. He
has extensive experience representing Arab
Gulf
governmental and private-sector investors in U.S.
real estate, private equity, venture capital, joint ventures and direct
investments, as well as serving in a general outside counsel capacity
for Gulf clients with business interests and branch operations in the United States.
Before joining Wohabe Law Offices, he was associated with the law firm
of Milbank, Tweed,
Hadley & McCloy. From 1995 to 2001, he
served as a member of the Board of Directors of The Arab Bankers
Association of North America (ABANA). He
acted as Conference Chairman for ABANA's conference on "The Role of
Saudi Arabia in the Global Economy" held in New
York
during March, 1995, and as Conference Co-Chairman for ABANA's
conference on "Islamic Finance and Investment" held in New York
during May, 1996. He is a graduate of Williams College
and Cornell
Law School
(cum laude) and was an editor of the Cornell Law Review.
He
is admitted to practice in Saudi Arabia
and in New
York and before the U.S.
District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

OMAR
WOHABE
represents governmental, institutional and private clients from the
Arab Gulf in connection with their investments in private equity,
venture capital and real estate, both on a conventional and Islamic
basis, and their commercial transactions in the United States and
elsewhere. He serves as outside general counsel for certain
of these clients, including in support of litigation, regulatory
actions and compliance matters in the United States and other
jurisdictions. He also represents U.S. parties in connection
with their investment and commercial activities in the Gulf.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Bankers
Association of North America (ABANA), and serves as the Chairman of the
ABANA Communications Committee and is a member of the Executive
Committee. He regularly organizes and presents at private and
public conferences on the subject of Islamic investing and other topics
of interest to Gulf investors. Before joining Wohabe Law Offices, he
was associated with Shearman & Sterling. He is a
graduate of Williams College and Cornell Law School. He is
admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut, and before the U.S.
District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. |
MILES P. FISCHER
is a graduate of Yale College
and Columbia
Law School
(cum laude) and was an editor of the Columbia Law Review.
He
attended the University
of Würzburg, Germany,
on a Fulbright scholarship. Before joining Wohabe Law
Offices, he was associated with Cravath, Swaine & Moore in
their New
York and Paris
offices and served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of
Cambrian Corporation. He is admitted to
practice in New
York and formerly as a
conseil juridique in France.
He is Chair of the Committee on Military Affairs and Justice of the
Association of the Bar of the City of New York
and a principal author of reports on national security law and human
rights.
